Pierre Andre is the CEO and founder and Sole Technology, an action sports shoe and apparel company here in Lake Forest with brands like Etnies and Thirty-Two. There are some people who view the skateboard youth culture as a menace and you don’t have to go very far to see the “No Skateboarding” signs or blocks on public fixtures like rails, stairs another things street skaters use to do tricks.
But for the last 10 years Pierre and his team have been making a huge positive impact on the environment and the Orange County community. For example, Sole Technology made in-roads with the city and community and by building the largest free public skate park in the country. Their HQ and shoe production is about as “green” as you can be with solar panels and environmentally friendly shoes. They are also very socially aware and have initiatives that include saving the forests and planting trees…
