Networking is most successful when you make it about what value you can add to another person’s cause, rather than focusing on the rewards you might reap. The world is made up of relationships-just like your business relationships with partners, competitors and community stakeholders. When you focus on that world around you and identify how you can assist with their needs, you draw those people to you. One action for another can open up a world of networks for you and your cause, turning your focus on their cause into value for your cause.
